What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2022 Kia Telluride?
The NHTSA has issued 3 recalls affecting the 2022 Kia Telluride, covering air bag detection, trailer brake light wiring, and seat belt assemblies. Specifically, recalls include an Occupant Classification/Detection System (OCS/ODS) issue that may not detect a child restraint, a Smart Cruise Control trailer-brake light wiring issue, and seat belt assemblies that may not properly secure child seats. These recalls come from NHTSA records and Kia owner notifications; Nalley Kia can verify your vehicle and perform free recall repairs.

Does an open recall affect my 2022 Kia Telluride's trade-in or resale value?
Yes—unresolved recalls can negatively affect trade-in offers and buyer confidence; many dealers and private buyers check NHTSA recall status before purchase. Getting recalls completed at Nalley Kia protects your vehicle value, documents OEM repairs, and simplifies trade-in or sale—you can start that process by visiting our trade-in page at sell-your-car-online.htm. Resolving recalls can also reduce insurance complications and preserve resale pricing by demonstrating proper, documented safety repairs.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2022 Kia Telluride recall?
Some open recalls—especially those affecting lighting or seat belts—can cause inspection or safety compliance issues depending on state rules. Because this model has recalls affecting trailer brake lights and seat belt assemblies, an unresolved condition could complicate inspection outcomes; contact Nalley Kia to schedule service and avoid inspection problems. We also offer service financing and will help you get recall repairs completed promptly to maintain compliance and safety.
