We also offer loaner options and courtesy shuttles where available; ask our service advisors about scheduling and current wait times when you call or use the online scheduler.
Does an open recall affect my 2017 Kia Optima's trade-in or resale value?
Yes — unresolved recalls can reduce trade-in value and deter private buyers and dealers, because recalls represent known safety or reliability issues that must be remedied before some buyers will complete a purchase. Resolving recalls at an authorized dealer such as Nalley Kia protects your vehicle’s value and provides documentation that the recall was completed using OEM parts and factory-trained technicians. When you are ready to sell or trade, visit our appraisal and trade-in page at sell your car online and ask our team to verify recall completion as part of the appraisal process.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2017 Kia Optima recall?
An unresolved safety recall can cause inspection failures in some states if the recall affects emissions, braking, or safety equipment required by state regulation; always have recalls addressed promptly to avoid inspection or registration issues. For example, NHTSA-documented issues such as brake HECU leaks or fuel system leaks pose safety hazards and could lead to inspection flags in some jurisdictions. Bring your vehicle to Nalley Kia in Lithonia for a free recall check and to schedule service if needed; we also offer service financing to help manage any non-recall maintenance.
