The NHTSA lists 15 recall entries affecting the 2012 Kia Sportage, including fuel pump/fuel pipe issues, engine bearing wear, incorrect tire label data, brake system electrical faults, trailer tow wiring, and fuel tank concerns. Major components affected include the high-pressure fuel pipe (fuel leak/fire risk), engine bearings (engine seizure risk), HECU/brake electrical circuits (fire risk), and incorrect tire pressure labeling (tire wear risk). These recalls originate from NHTSA investigations and Kia campaigns; Nalley Kia can verify your vehicle’s status and perform any free recall repairs.
How do I check if my 2012 Kia Sportage has an open recall?
You can check recalls by VIN at NHTSA.gov or bring your vehicle to Nalley Kia and we will check free of charge using the manufacturer system. If you prefer to check online first, use your VIN at NHTSA.gov, then contact Nalley Kia to schedule service if an open recall appears.
